In rural Uganda and refugee settle camps, 28% of girls do not go to school when they get their period, which means they will miss around 20% of the school year. This because these girls do not have the access to proper sanitary products or hygienic toilets. Consequently, they do not get the most out of the education provided. Our goal for this campaign is to end period poverty in Uganda by using your donations to provide safe, hygenic toilets and sanitary products to those who can’t access them.
